SO. i know i've been MIA lately...deepest apologies. i just haven't been in the blogging mood lately (tragic, i know), but now i desperately need to catch up and stay awake. so here i am. haha. in my absence from the blogging world, i had been enjoying the bowling world. and it had more adventures in store for me than i suspected...not nearly as cool as the last one, but still. actually, one thing was, but that's coming later...:)
so. i've been bowling on like supersonic mode lately. i wanna get done with this thing! PLUS, at the alley i go to, students get 1 free game every day of summer! totes cool, no? therefore, i took advantage of this sweet deal and bowled to my heart's content...(that phrase always reminds me of tangled. ps.) actually, i was only allowed to bowl three games until i finished the next unit of my class, but whatever. 3 games provides plenty of adventure for me.
the first of the three days, i went with the mom and the sis. all went well, my scores improved dramatically (easy to do, but lucky it happened), and k beat me. yeah. whatajerk. ;) we finished the game and got half way home before we remembered about my print out i need to get credit! so we turned around and went back to fetch my score sheet. as i went in to get it, a group of 14-year-old wanna-be gangster kids were leaving. i wasn't quite as scared of them as i was of the ruffians and thugs, but i thought they were total punks. BUT, i shoulda kept in mind my lesson from before! cuz, as i passed them, one of them was like "hey! i like your shirt!" (which happened to be my perry the platypus shirt from walmart...soon to be seen.) i was impressed and totally loved the compliment (who doesn't love compliments, right?) especially cuz it was way unexpected. i love pleasant surprises...:)
the next day, i went with just k. yay for sister bonding time...:) as we walked in and stood in line, we noticed a strange theme...background: on some of the tv monitors, they have the music video playing for whatever song is on the speakers. and today, those songs and the accompanying videos happened to be...you guessed it. total cheesy, weirdo 80's videos. we were laughing our heads off. i don't even remember the songs, or remember if i knew them...but it was entertaining regardless. haha
the third day was my absolute favorite. remember how i love pleasant surprises? well, this game i got a 96. 4 stinking points away from breaking 100! but still, i was just fine with my 96. better than my 39...:P BUT, that wasn't even the pleasant surprise...oh, no-not even close. as we were standing in line for the print-out, someone walks up in line behind us. as i turn to look for half a second, i do a double take. because i, in fact, recognized the man i saw. which caused me to turn with complete excitement and see his wife! and who was his wife, you may be wondering? my anatomy teacher from last year!! she is so hilarious and genius and i absolutely adore her to pieces. my family very well knows this. hopefully, i will be her student aide this next year...cuz her class is so interesting and such a total blast. btw, i recognized her husband because he's the trainer at my school. which i think is so cute that they work together, but that's just me. :) so yeah. totally made my entire summer seeing them.
so, all together, it was a great little set of experiences. bowling rocks way more than i remembered. if it wasn't so dang expensive, it would rock a whole lot more. and now, for your enjoyment and pleasure, i present...pictures! i didn't know what order they should go in with the story, and they don't really make any sense in context anyway, so here they are in a big ol' clump. you're welcome.
i hate hugs...
ha, jk! that was a total lie. ;)
she won...obviously unacceptable.
everyone loves to take pictures of me while i'm talking...maybe it's cuz i'm always talking...? hmm...;)
umm...there was a stride gum wrapper inside my bowling shoes...no idea how it got there...but ew. haha
i'm weird...ignore that part. ;)
